Birmingham is currently in Tier 4 so bars are closed and therefore no meeting. It will be sometime later in the New Year when we will meet again.
Hi and welcome to the Outskirts Trans Social Group web site. We started out in 1999 so 2019 was our 20th anniversary of continuously meeting as a trans social group. Have a good look around the web site and if you fancy joining us one night then you will be made very welcome.
We normally meet at 8.00 pm on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month. Click the button above for meeting dates.
We have a permanent home at the Equator Bar, 123 Hurst Street, Birmingham B5 6SE. It's right in the middle of Birmingham's gay village centered around Hurst Street, close to Missing and next door to the Sidewalk bar. Equator is a smart, intimate and friendly bar where we have been meeting since 2008.
There is an NCP car-park very nearby in Bromsgrove Street which is well-lit and has good security, and currently there is also an open car park at the bottom end of Hurst Street. There is a small amount of on-street parking which can be free after 6.00 pm.
It's a continually growing and very friendly group whose aim is to encourage trans people to gain greater confidence. We are always happy to welcome newcomers and all of us remember both the elation and the fear of our first time out. Although our group tends to be predominantly trans women, trans men and all trans identified or gender variant people are welcome to join us along with their partners and friends.
